Aamir Khan: Satyamev Jayate?

Aamir's alleged love child,'Jaan'.
A popular  Indian film magazine  had come out with the details of the alleged illicit relationship between Bollywood Actor Aamir Khan and British journalist Jessica Hines a couple of years back.

It stated that Aamir met Hines on the sets of 'Ghulam'. They eventually landed into a live in relationship. Talking about her involvement with Aamir, she says she met the actor on the sets of Ghulam, having got late for her appointment with him and with only half-an-hour left to catch an international flight. There was instant chemistry between them; the interviewer says. "Something happened which is unexplainable and if you were writing a movie script, you would call it love. They continued meeting on and off till eventually they were living together.

Just as life could not have got better, Hines got pregnant and every thing changed overnight. The happiest moment turned into a nightmare when Aamir told Hines to abort the child or forego their relationship. Hines refused to oblige and give birth to "Jaan". Aamir is said to be the father of the two year old baby.  Presently, she is bringing up their son all by herself in London. “If he wants, he can ask for the DNA test”, is what comes from the mother of 'Jaan'.

The editor of the film magazine defended her story,"We are very certain about the authenticity of this. We were very confident about what we were covering. There was no point in getting into fake denials. But when we thought wounds were healed and the time was right, we published the pictures. As you see, she is not very remorseful, she is not vindictive or anything towards Aamir Khan. I think she was accepting about it and his stance."

However, Jessica denies the whole story. She clarifies: "The recent use of photos of my son in magazines and other media is a shocking infringement of his human rights. As a minor, he is afforded privacy and the right to grow up unmolested by the media."

Jessica goes on to add that the photos had been taken under false pretences and represents a betrayal of trust.

The editorial director of the magazine, however, has clearly stated that Jessica had posed for the pictures in London. "There is no question of breach of trust. She was always aware that the pictures were meant for publication. She posed for the pictures and made Jaan pose too."

"There were others present too when the interview was conducted and she was completely aware of the fact that we were carrying the interview so her denial comes as a surprise. Perhaps she is under some kind of pressure to make a statement like that."

Jessica's alleged relationship with Aamir first came to light in January 2003. On reports of her subsequent pregnancy, she always refused to divulge the identity of her child's father. At the time she delivered Jaan Harry Hines in September 2003, she maintained that "her child had no father".

Khan was linked with English biographer Hines after his much-publicized divorce from Reena Khan. Kiran Rao is his current flame.

As for the truth, who would know it better than the perfectionist himself who has remained silent throughout….

PS: The title Aamir Khan: Satyamev Jayate? Has been used for this post as the Sanskrit for “Satyamev Jayate” is “May the truth always triumph” since this post puts forth the take on  the story of both the sides and does not establish any personal opinion watsoever. It has got nothing to do with Aamir Khan’s ongoing television reality show.

In the next post:
Move over Shah Rukhs and Salmans , let's salute the latest rising sun on the block in the next post 'Nawaz: The Unsung Hero..'

  1. I never knew this side of Aamir!
But I've got two things to say :-
    1. The identity of the child should surely be protected as he is still a minor, to avoid any kind of problems later in his life.
    2. There are a thousand more cases like this. I guess, there is no point in discussing this. It's Aamir's own personal life. He is known to us for this acting, and our discussions should be limited to that!

However, this is just my opinion! :-)

You surprise me with a something unknown that you come up everytime. Specially, the Satyamev Jayate, I thought this was to do with the show.

    Good work! All the best!
